Hi. My name is Conan and I'm 16 years old. I also happen to be David Panofsky's neighbor in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. When David found out that I was diabetic like himself, he asked Linda, my owner, if I might be IDEA 2000's official mascot. While I am honored to serve in such a capacity, I'd really like to take part in the expedition. Although I'm not climbing as much as I did when I was a young kit, I can climb steep ice quite effectively without the use of artificial aids like crampons - my regular claws do the trick. I'm on two injections of NPH a day and thank Linda for taking such good care of me. These photos were taken by Linda at our house and while you may get the impression that I'm a bit of a couch potato, I do go outside and I love the outdoors.
